Welcome to Waterside Cabin, our lovingly designed hideaway for two. Boutique, bijou and uniquely located, you can soak up the panorama of mountains, islands and sea without even getting out of bed. Then after a hard day’s exploring, head for a wee dram or to nearby restaurants on foot.

CAREFULLY CURATED WITH A HINT OF LUXURY

So so beautiful – This was our second time staying at Fiona’s cabin and it was genuinely so so beautiful! The cabin itself has everything you need and it’s the perfect place to get cosy after exploring Skye! Fiona was an amazing host, helpful, attentive and you can tell she’s poured her heart into this gorgeous little cabin! If you’re thinking of visiting Skye I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Just because something’s small doesn’t mean you need to skimp on the finer things in life. Expect beautiful furnishings just that bit out of the ordinary, hotel quality linens, sumptuous Arran Aromatic toiletries, a great shower and French doors leading to you private deck. With panoramic views and being so close to the sea, the only thing to keep you awake at night will be the sound of the oystercatchers.

WHERE SEA AND SKY COMBINE AND ALL SEASONS ARE IN AN HOUR

We had the time of our lives in Skye! – What a great location we had in the cabin in Broadford. So close to the ferry and Skye bridge. We had everything we needed for a cozy time.

Hannah

When you’re tired of adventuring, rest awhile and soak up the view. It’s not often in life that we take the time just to look at what’s in front of us. With ever-changing tides, dramatic skies and visiting and resident birdlife, take the time to sit back and simply be. You might even spot an otter or deer or two.

THE PERFECT HAVEN AFTER A DAY EXPLORING

Great for a romantic break – Such a beautiful little spot with a spectacular view! Perfect for a couple’s getaway.

About The Local Area

One of the fun things in winter is looking out for the Northern lights. We’ve been lucky enough to have some amazing sightings over the years. You’ll often see the white glow from the Cabin if you keep your eyes peeled on a clear night and you might just have the chance to see some of the more colourful displays. Download the brilliant Aurora Alerts app (Android & iPhone) for accurate predictions.

Yes there are some amazing wild swimming spots but if you don’t want to travel then many people swim from the old pier in Broadford or from the sandy part of the bay. We recommend a wet suit unless you are used to cold-water swimming! If swimming indoors is for you there is a pool 8 miles away in Kyle of Lochalsh.

Yes, there are some great walks for all abilities very nearby and we will leave you ideas for where to go.

Brilliant. Depending on the tides you’ll see birds floating by from your window. The sound of oystercatchers, curlews and geese makes for magical moments and seeing the flocks of visiting birds land in the bay is spectacular. Take a look at https://www.skye-birds.com/ for more info. Further afield there are lots of places to see Golden and Sea Eagles.

At dawn and dusk you’ll often see an otter or deer crossing the bay, and curious seals can visit the waters around the island. And then there are the birds..
