Welcome to Waterside Cabin, our lovingly designed hideaway for two. Boutique, bijou and uniquely located, you can soak up the panorama of mountains, islands and sea without even getting out of bed. Then after a hard day’s exploring, head for a wee dram or to nearby restaurants on foot.
A cabin for two, made with love
So so beautiful – This was our second time staying at Fiona’s cabin and it was genuinely so so beautiful! The cabin itself has everything you need and it’s the perfect place to get cosy after exploring Skye! Fiona was an amazing host, helpful, attentive and you can tell she’s poured her heart into this gorgeous little cabin! If you’re thinking of visiting Skye I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Just because something’s small doesn’t mean you need to skimp on the finer things in life. Expect beautiful furnishings just that bit out of the ordinary, hotel quality linens, sumptuous toiletries, a great shower and French doors leading to you private deck. With panoramic views and being so close to the sea, the only thing to keep you awake at night will be the sound of the oystercatchers.

With every item carefully chosen, you’ll find that this compact cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A cosy lounge area with French doors out on to your own private deck; a well-equipped kitchen, with two burner hob, combi microwave and oven; a lovely double bed with sumptuous feather duvet; and a large walk-in shower. Great for a few days, many of our guests choose to stay for a week or more.
Where sea and sky combine and all seasons are in an hour
When you’re tired of adventuring, rest awhile and soak up the view. It’s not often in life that we take the time just to look at what’s in front of us. With ever-changing tides, dramatic skies and visiting and resident birdlife, take the time to sit back and simply be. You might even spot an otter or deer or two.
Views, views and did we say views? Look out of one window to see the Red Cuillin mountains and majestic Beinn na Caillich, the resting place of a Viking princess. From the other, gaze out towards the hills of Applecross and the islands of Pabay and Crowlin beyond. Open the French doors to lead to your own private deck where you can while away the evenings watching the stars.

A stunning vista from the imposing peaks of the Red Cuillin and magnificent Beinn na Caillich with her crowning grave of a Viking princess to the undulating peaks of the mainland Munros. This is a place for big skies and bigger views. Snuggle up in the blankets provided and watch the stars
Big skies and sea at your door
At high tide the water is just metres from your door. Relax on the deck or throw open the French doors and while away your hours watching oyster catchers, herons, curlews and sandpipers or keep your eyes peeled for a shy otter or deer. Beyond, the islands of Pabay, Longay and Crowlin make up a stunning panorama and in the distance see the outline of the mainland hills. Whatever the weather, the ever-changing scenery will keep you entranced. Binoculars provided!
Comfortable lounging
A cosy sofa and armchair, FreeSat TV and a DVD player with a small library of DVDs with a Highland theme to introduce you to this wonderful part of the world. bird books, guide books, the odd novel or two and WiFi. And of course the French doors to the decking, with wrap-around views
Cook up a feast
Lazy morning or cosy night in? You’ll find everything you need for catering at home. The well-equipped kitchen, although small includes a two hob burner, combi microwave oven and fridge and you’ll find staples such as tea, coffee, oil and herbs and of course a cafetiere!
A good night’s sleep
Wake up to the view. Sink into luxurious rich thread count white linens on a double mattress made for two; prop up the goose-down pillows and lie back to gaze out to the sea and sky just a stone’s throw away
Refresh the senses
A large walk-in shower, fluffy towels and luxurious toiletries, and you have the perfect recipe to unwind after a busy day exploring the island. Hairdryer available
On the doorstep
No need to walk far to discover some fabulous restaurants and cafes – great for seafood and local fare, a wee dram or locally brewed ale. And for supplies the shops are just 1 mile away, a swift walk along the coast with beautiful views all the way
Onsite private parking
You’ll find your own parking area reserved just for you. The cabin shares the car park with Waterside Cottage guests but once you follow the path to the Cabin, you’ll discover your own secluded space, sheltered from the world.
